For those of you at NMU...

location: West Science
Today I feel: apathetic apathetic
Now listening: lecture

I'm doing a survey for a final proposal paper in my EN 211 class. It's going to be about the laptops and all of hte problems they have.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could fill this out for me, and possibly pass it on to friends. Please just respond in a comment or email me at my nmu account. All comments are screened, and I will not be using names in my paper.

Thanks guys...

How many years have you been using an NMU issued laptop?

What model are you currently using?

Do you have a lot of experience using computers? If there’s a problem, can you usually fix it yourself?

How often do you use the NMU laptop issued to you? Every day or less often?

What programs do you use the most on the NMU laptop?

Are there programs included that you almost never use? Are there programs not included that you have to download?

How do the specifications of the NMU laptop compare to your personal computer, if you have one? If you don’t know specific specifications, how would you compare the performance of the IBM to your personal computer?

What are your experiences with the Help Desk?

What are your biggest problems with the NMU issued laptops?

Overall, what do you think of the IBMs that NMU has decided to use for the university?

Any other thoughts on this subject?
